Should fire arms be allowed in school? The article by Liberty.news, written by J.D Hayes the editor in chief of the National Sentinel, uses this article to showcase a major university that has allowed students to carry firearms. This article starts off with putting aside the opinions of the left side and mostly confining it to a box of one idea instead of examining it as a whole. The tone of this article is very critical as if stressing that its point is very obvious and there is no reason why someone shouldn't agree with it. "Major university authorized concealed carry of
firearms on campus six months ago, and the results have been phenomenal for
student safety" is the central claim for this article. Making its point very clear, this article comes across as very biased and is not very objective in maintaining a neutral outlook. By providing only the statistics that helps its case and downplaying other side. This article does provide some evidence for what it is saying by examining statistics about the decrease in crime rates after students were allowed to carry on campus. But all in all, it is difficult to trust an article that isn't willing to see the full picture.
The second article by The Washington Post, written by Stacey Patton an assistant professor of multimedia journalism at Morgan State University, argues against the arming of teachers in schools. Like the article before this article doesn't really have an objective outlook. While using multiple examples and providing links to many sources, Mrs. Patton does not provide any outlook of other perspectives. She mainly focuses on her points and perspective and finds any evidence to back it up.

"Arming teachers would put black and Latino kids in danger" she uses as her title and attempts to prove it in her passage. Her tone isn't as blatantly obvious as the first article but still is pretty pushy. Both articles are biased, and only focus on their side instead of reporting the full situation making it difficult to figure out what is true or not.
